Ellsworth -- Paul Robert Bouffard, 54, died January 4, 2018 due to an unfortunate winter accident. He was born in Lynn, MA, lived in Manchester, N.H. and then in Ellsworth.
Paul graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1982. Paul attended the Aviation Technical School in North Dakota where he also worked for a landscaping company. Paul also worked for the family business, Acadia Air Incorporated located at the Hancock County/ Bar Harbor Airport. He had a very strong mechanical ability. At the young age of 11 years old the neighborhood kids would bring their three-wheelers and mini-bikes to him for repair. He spent a lot of time repairing autos and small engine equipment. Paul was very good at refinishing furniture. He also enjoyed working with model airplanes, model cars and mowing lawns at leisure time.
He is survived by his father Robert Bouffard; sisters, Paula Bouffard Shields of Grafton, Ohio, married to James Shields and Tina Bouffard of Ellsworth; nephew, Zachary James Shields; nieces, Whitney Lynn Shields Moore married to Ross Moore , Emily Ann Shields; girlfriend, Candy Littlefield; Uncle Bill and Aunt Bettina Bouffard of Rumford, Aunt Louise Bouffard Moses and Uncle James Moses of Westbrook, Uncle Theodore and Pauline Chojnowski of Gardner, MA., Aunt Teresa Chojnowski DiVirgilio of Gardner, MA and many cousins on both parents sides. He was predeceased by his mother, Sally Ann Chojnowski Bouffard.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, January 12, 2018 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth. Spring interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
