ELLSWORTH - Marion Noyes passed away on March 24, 2017, at Courtland rehab in Ellsworth at the age of 92. She was born July 30, 1924, in Franklin, Maine, to Elthel Swan and James Russel. Marion had 4 siblings, Julia Laurence, Gertrude Molander, Helen Thurston, and Harris Swan. They were raised on a farm in Franklin where they grew and raised all their own food.

As a young adult Marion worked summers in Southwest Harbor where she met her future husband Richard Noyes. They were married and lived together in Manset for 59 years before he passed. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a son Richard "Puff" Noyes Jr., her parents, and her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie St. Clair and her husband Paul from Portland; son Clifford Noyes and wife Crystal from Manset; grandchildren Jason, Timothy, Todd, and Nick St. Clair, and Abe, Wilder, and Kelsea Noyes; and great-grandchildren Trevor and Marilyn.

Marion was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Over the years she has enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, cooking, and baking. What made Marion the most happy were her grandchildren. She loved them unconditionally and completely.

Funeral service will be held Thursday March 30, 2917, 4 p.m., at Jordan-Fernald Funeral home in Somesville.
