Obituary for Henry Alfred Cosentino

Henry Alfred  Cosentino
Blue Hill -- Henry Alfred Cosentino, 88, died March 26, 2017 at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bronx, New York, November 20, 1928, the son of Salvator and Adelaide (Joeckel) Cosentino.

Henry lived in Newington, CT for 64 years, summering at their home in Surry. He worked at Johnson Controls as an engineer for 30 years, Barber Coleman Cosentino as part owner for a few years and Conogen as co-owner for 10 years. He retired in 1995 and he and Ramona traveled extensively.

He was very active in the Church of the Holy Spirit, in Newington, CT. Prison and funeral ministries were close to his heart. He was a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellsworth.

Henry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ramona; sons, Mark H. Cosentino and wife Jocelyne of Newbury, MA., Timothy J. Cosentino of Waitsfield, VT.; daughter, Susan C. Nyman and husband Craig of Surry; sister, Rita Cosentino of Croton on Hudson, NY; brothers, Salvator Cosentino and wife Caroline of Columbia, MD., Genaro Cosentino and wife Helga of Bronx, NY, Cornelius Cosentino and wife Maria of Tampa, FL and Edward Cosentino and wife Candice of Stony Point, NY; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Michael; sisters, Theresa and Adele.

Calling hours will be held 3:00-5:00 pm, Friday, March 31, 2017 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth. A Mass of Christian Burial for Henry will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 231 Main St. Ellsworth.
