Obituary for Barbara Anne Ferden

Barbara Anne  Ferden
Penobscot -- Barbara Anne Ferden, 47, passed away peacefully, November 03, 2016 at a Bangor hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now in the hands of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born in Millinocket, December 4, 1968 the daughter of Charles and Carly (Torrey) Ferden.

She was a graduate of George Stevens Academy and the University of Maine Machias. She worked for the University of Southern New Hampshire, and the University of Florida, Gainsville. For many years she was the face at Downeast Graphics in customer service. Her pleasant smile and kind words helped assist customers with their graphic and printing needs.

Barbara is survived by her pride and joy Emma Earline Ferden; her parents; brothers, Scott of Penobscot and Peter of Yarmouth; aunt, Priscilla Perkins; and nephew, Daniel Ferden of Gouldsboro. She also leaves the love of her life Tim Bybee and his daughter Gina of Steuben. Tim’s devotion and love for Barbara was there to the very end.

As Barbara faced the challenges of her battle with cancer, she did so with grace, a smile, and always with gratitude for those caring for her at Maine Medical Center in Portland and Eastern Maine Medical in Bangor. Thanks to all who have held her, Tim and their families in prayer, with kind words of love and lots of support. A special thanks to Pastor Greg and Dianne.

A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Steuben Union Church. A gathering of family and friends will follow.
