Barbara Lanpher Boyington, 90, died peacefully at Sonogee Estates, Bar Harbor.
She was born August 2, 1925 at her family home in Somesville, the daughter of Alfred M. and Gladys A. (Trundy) Lanpher.

Barbara spent her young adult life as a bookkeeper at the former Dow Air Force Base in Bangor, and then later became the bookkeeper for the Lynam Agency in Bar Harbor for over 20 years. Upon retirement, she and Baxter spent time traveling the country and later enjoying winters in Florida, returning each spring to enjoy many family adventures.

Barbara is survived by two daughters and son in laws, Nancy and Arthur Corliss of Ellsworth, ME and Connie and Kim Adler of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; four grandchildren; Ryan Corliss, Marc Corliss, Stephanie Byrne, and Shane Bickford; seven great grandchildren, Grace, Ellie, Jacqueline, Alexandra, Justin, Sierrah, Rochelle; one great-great grandson, Hayden. She was pre- deceased by two brothers, George and John and her beloved husband, Baxter who died in 1991

A celebration of life with family and friends and the scattering of her ashes will be held at a later time. Contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to Island Connections, 15 Rodick St., Bar Harbor, ME 04609.
