The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Pierre Desrochers can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Lovely Gentleman

We met this wonderful man on a trip to Maine in Summer 2012 whilst on holiday to The US with my Neice and Nephew. We arrived at the house in Mt Desest and were engulfed in Lynn and Pete's tremendous hospitality as soon as we walked through the door. Pete's first word were "Welcome to our home...Do we hug?" I had no option, this mans warmth and friendliness had an instant impact upon both of us.

We spent a few days then travelling around Mt Desert and the surrounding areas and I was hooked (apologies) on Pete's favourite pastime of lobster fishing, he told me all about the sound, its history, the art of catching, cooking and eating lobster, great times!

It is not often in life that one can create memories that last, when in the moment, we take for granted what is happening and then reflect later, sometime with regret. Our only regret is that we didn't get to meet Peter again after that trip, which is something we wanted to do, but circumstances prevented it.

I am sure that friends and family will have more memories of Peter, we just wanted to share a snapshot of our expierience of being in the comopany of this lovely Gentleman for a short while.

Bon Voyage Pierre!

Love to you Lynn
