Obituary for Blair Lee Wayne Ingalls

Blair Lee Wayne Ingalls, 69, died June 19, 2007 at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born May 30, 1938 in Bangor the son of Wayne R. and Audrey (Eagan) Ingalls.
Blair entered the U.S. Army in 1958 and served until 1960 in Germany as a radio operator. He returned and finished college graduating from University of Maine in 1963 with a BS in Engineering Sciences. He was a chemical engineer at Union Carbide and Chopra Lee for 30 years. They lived in New York and came home to Maine in 2001 and built their home on Donnell Pond. Blair enjoyed fishing with his friends, was a gifted musician and a true artist. He will be missed by his many friends with whom he gathered every morning at the Franklin Trading Post for coffee. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra, daughter of Merle and Olive Smith; daughters, Carla Kuhl and husband Randy of Freeport, Lesli Coleman and husband David of Batavia, NY, Kim Lee Heferle and husband Jason of Buffalo, NY and nine grandchildren who knew him as "Papa". He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Jan Ingalls. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Franklin Methodist Church.
