Brooklin -- Ethel A. Gott, 92, passed away peacefully to be with her three beautiful daughters, Pamela, Wanda, Freda and son Joe, November 27, 2018 in Deer Isle. She was born in Sedgwick, June 26, 1926 the daughter of Forrest F. and Emma (Horton) Allen.

She graduated from Brooklin High School in 1944.

Up until the last few years she was so full of energy and loved life beyond words; she was fearless, full of incredible strength and always very independent. We will miss all of our wonderful visits and picnics in the apple orchard which she loved and enjoyed so much. Bottomless cups of coffee, all her homemade goodies, but most of all….we will miss her bright inviting warm smile, big hugs and seeing her wave from the driveway as we pulled away! It is impossible to capture in words the wonderful courageous and beautiful soul that she was. We are incredibly grateful to have had her in our lives for all these years. She touched the hearts and souls of all who met her or were graced with her presence.

She is survived by her daughter, Angie Snow and husband John of Penobscot; daughter-in-law, Jackie Gott of Sedgwick; brother, Lawrence Allen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

At Ethel’s request there will be no services.

We would like to extend a special thanks to all the special caregivers at INH, Joan Bothwell for the sweet pep talks and hugs, and special thank you to Laura Osborne and all the Hospice volunteers.

Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 49 Main St. Blue Hill.
