Obituary for Tyler Forrest Baez

Tyler Forrest Baez, 24, died unexpectedly at home on March 22, 2018. He was born September 11, 1993, in Worcester Massachusetts, the son of Glenn C. and Suzanne (Dow) Baez.

Tyler graduated from Ellsworth High School and Hancock County Technical Center, class of 2011. He attended New England School of Communications and Eastern Maine Community College where he aspired to work in the music industry. He founded Strength & Numbers Management & Promotions where he worked with various artists along the east coast.

Growing up he was active in school sports, including his senior year where he was on the Ellsworth High School Swim Team. Tyler was very active in the Hancock County 4-H program from the age of 8 to 18. He participated and received awards in 4-H demonstrations, 4-H Style Revue and attended Citizenship Washington Focus as a Maine 4-H delegate. He spent his time at many family gatherings, camping trips, and hours of boating adventures, tubing, and vacation travels with his family.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Glenn and Suzanne Baez of Lamoine, his brother Christopher and his wife Melissa and their son Brady, his grandmother, Nancy Dow of Ellsworth, his uncle Albert Dow Jr. of Ellsworth, his aunt Julie and her husband David Herrick of Lamoine, his aunt Joanne and her husband Louis Romer of Trenton, his girlfriend Danielle Leighton and her son Hunter, his best friend Jakob Jordan, and his many cousins. Tyler is predeceased by his loving grandmother Peggy (Vovo) Baez of Lamoine and his grandfather Albert Dow Sr. of Ellsworth.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 31, from 11am-1pm, at Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. A private family interment will be held later in the spring. Gifts in Tyler’s memory to Hancock County 4-H Leaders Association, 63 Boggy Brook Rd., Ellsworth.
