Sorrento -- Gardner Laurence Creamer, 97, died March 11, 2018 at home after several months of declining health. He was born on July 19, 1920 in Everett, Massachusetts to Lorenzo C. and Martha (Catton) Creamer, Sr.

He attended Oxford School of Business in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He joined the Navy in 1942 and served in the Pacific Theater until 1946. Upon returning to civilian life, he became a wholesale lobster dealer until he retired in 1982. Gardner was an outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his son, Donn of Westbrook; daughter, Gail Jones (Doug) of North Carolina; grandson, Christopher Jones (Becca) of North Carolina; and granddaughter, Hillary Roberts (Aaron) of Virginia. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Margaret.

A graveside service will be held 1 pm, Sat. June 9, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery, Hancock
