Obituary for Christine "Ellen" Eaton (Andrews)

Brooklin -- Christine ‘Ellen’ (Andrews) Eaton, 70, died peacefully after years of battling Multiple Sclerosis on February 16, 2018 at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born December 13, 1947 in Castine, the daughter of Thornton A. Andrews and Jacqueline E. (Redman) Andrews .

After graduating from High School in Brooklin, Ellen enjoyed being home on Little Deer Isle raising her 3 children for many years. She then worked as a hostess at Kristina’s Restaurant in Bath for 18 years where she was dearly loved by all patrons and staff. Ellen had a great love for fashion, antiquing, and decorating her home, but most of all she loved to connect with people over coffee, sharing memories and telling stories of days gone by.

Ellen is survived by her sons, Milton T. Eaton and his wife Izabela of Poland, and Blake A. Eaton and his wife Wendy of Blue Hill; her daughter, Morgan K. Eaton of Texas; 4 Grandchildren, Brooklin, Callahan and Grayson Eaton of Blue Hill, and Sebastian Eaton of Poland; a brother Thornton Andrews and his wife Tammy of Brooklin; and a ‘sister’ Jennifer Holden and her husband Cecil of Brooklin.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2-4:00 Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Brooklin Inn and Pub. Gifts in Ellen’s memory to the MS Society at www.nationalmssociety.org
