Condolences

Condolence From: Anne Slater
Condolence: I am reminded of a picture I have of Uncle Bill, dressed as Santa Claus, and coming up the snowy steps of Brookholm with a sack of presents over his shoulder to deliver gifts to all his nieces and nephews. His sisters may have put him up to it, but you know he enjoyed every minute. Later, they would all have a blast swing dancing with him.
One of the highlights of our trips to Maine was visiting Bill and Polly. Such a sweet, gentle man. He will be greatly missed. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: When I was growing up, every time I saw Uncle Bill, he was laughing. He loved jokes and kidding around. Most telling: I didn't (and don't) like loud people, but I liked Uncle Bill. His "loudness" came from the heart, from joy, not anger. He was truly one of a kind.

Condolence: I remember one holiday probably around 1970-71, we were all over at Brookholm. Somehow Bill, me, 3 or 4 other cousins, and our dog Baron got to flipping a bottle cap around as a kind of keepaway game. (Baron didn't do much flipping, he was more chasing, jumping, and barking.) Went on for 15 or 20 minutes and I recall we were all having a blast just throwing that bottle cap around.

Condolence: Blessings on the soul of Uncle Bill. He was a fun, young uncle when all of the grandkids were small. I will always remember how he made us and the grown-ups laugh. He was a good brother to all those older sisters and a good son as well.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
