Shawn Douglas  King
ELLSWORTH -- Shawn Douglas King, 33, died Feb. 12, 2018 after a long illness surrounded by his family at EMMC. Shawn was born in Bangor, July 29, 1984 the son of Douglas Eugene King of Ellsworth and the late Rhonda Colby King.

Shawn was a graduate of Ellsworth High School and HCTC in the automotive department winning silver in VICA. Shawn had two children, Jayson Charles King and Harmony Lei King who were there steadfast to the end. Shawn had a personality that was bigger than life, he worked for various places as a mechanic, as a carpenter for the family business and finally as a commercial driver. Shawn loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and lobstering on Great Cranberry Isle.

Shawn is survived by his loving maternal grandparents, Gaile Colby and Arvard Savage; his two beautiful children; the mother of his children, Spring Leslie-King; family members, Douglas E. King and Tracy T. King of Ellsworth; siblings, Auburn-Rose and Jaissen Bailey of Hermon, Shaela Renna & Craig Miller of Waterville, Michael Emerson & Sara King of Naples FL., Nathanael Blair & Emilye Colby of Dedham, Ashton Royal Colby of Willington, NC., Olivia Colby-King of Bangor; many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends in the Down East area.

Because of his profession of faith in Jesus Christ, calling hours will be held 4:00-6:00 Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth with a celebration of his life to be held 11:00 am, Monday, Feb. 19, 2018.
