Condolences

Condolence From: Pat Rooney
Condolence: Kim (Kimmy as Phyliis called you) I just wanted to send you a note to tell you I am thinking of you and your family. Losing a parent is never easy, even if they have lived a long and eventful life. I really enjoyed spending time with your mom (and my mom Maria) listening to her flying stories among others. She was truly passionate about flying, and I don't blame her. What an incredible woman she was. I wonder if she realized just how much of a pioneer she was for women by working in a male dominated field where women were virtually unheard of. I will miss her. I know she is at peace now, flying like never before!! Every time I see a plane fly overhead, I will think of her. I hope you and your family will find comfort in knowing that she left an indelible mark in the lives of many. I am grateful that I had a chance to know her and here her stories.

I know my mom, Maria also sends her deep felt condolences at losing her friend and Birch Bay neighbour.

Condolence: I knew Phyllis long ago, on Gott's Island. I was a teenager then, and she was the mother of my friends. I spent some happy times with them and with her.

My condolences to the family. My heart is with you at this difficult time.
