Obituary for Edward Anello
Surry -- Edward “Ned” Anello, 74, died January 22, 2018 at his home. He was born October 31, 1943 in Brighton, MA the son of Edward and Melina C. (Grimaldi) Edwards.
Ned shared a musical bond with his Uncle Joe Grimaldi. He was an Atlanta Braves baseball fan through good and bad seasons and a car enthusiast with a passion for Pontiacs, especially the 1967 GTO.
He was the loving husband of Paula (Bogan); devoted “DA” to Charlene and the late Darlene Anello; spoiled by his mother, the late Melina “Millie” (Grimaldi); brother-in-law of Barbara, Kay and Joe, Maureen and Ed, John and Donna and the late Patricia and Danny, Gerry and Helen, Charles and the Marvelous Margaret. Also survived by many family members and a great group of friends, especially the “Goodfella’s Catering Co”, Yankee Chapter P.O.C.I. and 1/18 scale Diecaast Junkies.
*SPOILER ALERT* For over 50 years he created memories as Santa Claus for many family and friends.
In keeping with Ned’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of his life will be held in Surry in the spring.
