Condolence: To the family of Allan Benson,
We are summer residents of Gouldsboro and noted with great sadness the recent notice of Allan's passing in the Ellsworth American. As regular summer patrons of the Dorcas Library we will greatly miss Allan's cheerful presence. We particularly remember observing the tutoring support that he provided to younger members of the Gouldsboro community. Please accept our heartfelt condolences on his unexpected passing.

Condolence: How fortunate were we to have Allan in our family for the time that we did. Allan was an amazing man, by so many measures. He was a devoted husband, adoring father, beloved family man, and messenger of cheer and love to all he knew. His legacy can best be measured by the countless hearts he touched throughout his beautiful lifetime.
I will take credit for introducing Nancy and Allan 33 years ago. Their union was perfection.
Nancy and Anders, your loss has been great but the gift of Allan as your partner in life was an amazing blessing. He lives on in you.
