Obituary for Lisa May Gordon

Lisa May Gordon
Ellsworth -- Lisa May Gordon, who lived her life for 48 years, 3 months and 21 days died peacefully at home on December 24, 2017. She was born in Ellsworth on September 3, 1969 at 7:27 pm, all 5 lbs. 11 oz. of her to the great joy of her family.

Lisa was full of life and will be remembered for her loving, giving sprit, her sense of humor and her deep love for and pride in her boys Tevin and Jaden. Watching, guiding, encouraging and enjoying her boys as they matured were her greatest joy.

Lisa loved light houses and the ocean. She was an incredible cook who took joy in experimenting with recipes. She was an extremely organized person who’s lists and planning were world famous. Lisa loved to laugh and enjoyed people.

As a single Mom, Lisa worked hard to attend college and earn her degree. At the time of Lisa’s illness she worked at Seaboard Credit Union and found tremendous satisfaction in helping her customers and took personal pride in mastering the evolution of her job. Lisa’s final days were spent under a quilt made for her by her co-workers.

Lisa is survived by her parents Alice M. Herrick, of Ellsworth, father Daniel I. Workman Sr. and wife Kathy of Bokeelia, FL; two sons, Tevin Workman and wife Haley of Ellsworth and Jaden Gordon and his father Royce, his paternal grandmother, Cheryl Gordon and step grandmother, Debbie Gordon; her cherished brother, DJ Workman of Cocoa, FL; sister, Jennifer Tuttle of Gainesville, FL; special Aunt, Louise Larson; many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She will be missed.

Lisa’s family wishes to express our thanks to Dr. Harb at CCCM and other Dr’s and all of the wonderful nurses and medical personnel for their care of Lisa over the last 3 years. Lisa’s Mom wants to thank family, friends, neighbors, the YMCA family, our Hospice family, Jaden’s teachers and everyone who supported and helped us thru Lisa’s journey.

In keeping with Lisa’s wishes there will be a private service in the spring. Please honor her by doing a random act of kindness as a need is recognized. Those who desire may make contributions in Lisa’s memory to Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County, 14 McKenzie Ave., Ellsworth or Yesterday’s Children, 360 Main St., Ellsworth, 04605. Rest in peace dear Lisa.
