Obituary for Harland A. "Skip" Parsons

Harland A. “Skip” Parsons, 92, died August 21, 2017 in Bar Harbor. He was born November 26, 1924 in Bar Harbor the son of John E. and Anne H. (Higgins) Parsons.
Skip was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was an electrician who worked for the Canadian National Railway and Ferry.
Skip is survived by his partner, Shirley Conklin; six step children; Dawna Burton and husband Tom, Brenda Williams, Wendy Pelletier and husband Craig, Debbie Rochon, Brent Walls, Bruce Walls and wife Cindy; fourteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wives Lucy Hutchins Parsons and Beryl Wasgatt Parsons and step daughter, Jeri Walls.
Graveside services will be held 1pm, Monday, August 28, 2017 at Mt. Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor. Those who desire may make contributions in Skip’s memory to the YMCA, 21 Park Street, Bar Harbor or to the MDI Hospital Auxiliary, PO Box 8, Bar Harbor, ME 04609.
