Obituary for Raymond Howard Daley Sr.
Sullivan -- Raymond Howard Daley, Sr., 82, died July 25, 2017 at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. He was born in Ellsworth, September 20, 1934 the son of the late John and Jessie (Havey) Daley and widow of the late Eleanor Daley.
He attended public schools in Sullivan and graduated from high school in the class of 1954. Following high school he went to work doing odd jobs; worming, clamming, truck driving and worked in the woods. He also worked as a mechanic for many years at Linnehan Ford, retiring in 1997. Raymond enjoyed traveling, camping and spending his winter times in Florida and loved happy hours on the deck. He also loved his cats.
He is survived by his children, Elliott Daley and wife Sally, Debbie Scott and husband Doug, and Ray Daley, Jr., and wife Carin all of Sullivan; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Martha Stroup of FL., and Tong Su Havey of Sullivan. He was predeceased by brothers, Gerald Daley and Bobby Havey; sister, Charlene Zerrien.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00, August 4, 2017 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth.
