Calvin S.  Weiss
Ellsworth -- Calvin S. Weiss, 99, died peacefully on Good Friday, April 14, 2017 at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. He was born in Oley, PA., September 06, 1917, son of Alvin and Mary (Sheeler) Weiss.

He grew up on the farm at Boyertown. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US. Navy and was employed as a Civil Servant for the U. S. Air Force for many years in Middletown, PA. After marrying his wife, Mary they moved to Lititz, Marietta, Falmouth, Elizabethtown and Camp Hill, PA. and finally moving to be near their daughter, Lorraine in Ellsworth. Calvin was quiet, good to all, loved to bowl and was an ardent Yankee fan. He was a 60+ year member of the Knights of Columbus. Most of all he was devout and active in his Catholic faith in all his parishes, especially his beloved St. Theresa’s in New Cumberland, PA.

Calvin is survived by his daughter, Lorraine Mooers; brothers, Rev. Harold Weiss and wife Mary Ann, Gerald Weiss and wife Becky; many loved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his loving wife Mary of 67 years marriage; brothers and sisters, Ray, Pearl, Henry, Howard, Herbert and Marie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am, April 20, 2017 at St. Joseph Church, Ellsworth
