The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Allen Fitch can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: My condolences to Allen's family and loved ones. Allen was one of the first people I met at UMPI in September of 1970. It was at the entrance to Normal Hall, our dorm. Allen was always good natured and really enjoyed people. I'm sure he touched a lot of people's lives.

Condolence: This is such sad news for Ellsworth and surrounding communities. Allen was one of the old time, good old guys whether you were family, friend or casual acquaintance, he greeted everyone with a smile and a friendly greeting. He was a genuinely good person who had a way of making everyone he encountered feel important. Thinking of his family and loved ones. Rest in peace Allen.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Allen's passing, and condolence's go out to the family. It's been many years since I last saw Allen, and that was while visiting home in Surry and going down to his store. He remembered me well from my younger years and we talked and joked and he was interested in what I was doing in life and where I lived. Great Man and glad I knew him. R.I.P Allen.

Condolence: Our heartfelt sympathies to you Kim. Your father was a character of the finest kind. Marty has many fond memories when your Mom and Dad were fixing up their place off the Surry Road...can't remember the exact address...middle aged brain fog! We hope you find comfort in knowing just how many people's lives your father had an impact on. I love the witty obituary, your father would approve!
