Southwest Harbor

Steven Kenneth Young, 44, died unexpectedly August 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 1, 1972 in Kittery the son of Richard A. and Wynnee A. (Sullivan) Young.

Steven attended MDI High School. He was a lifelong fisherman. He greatly enjoyed Nascar and gaming. Steven, known to his friends as ‘Egor’, was a big kid at heart, compassionate and empathic with an infectious laugh. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Wynnee Dow of St. Joseph, MI; brother, Richard Young and wife Christin of Stevensville, MI; sister, Angela Logan and husband James of Hancock; stepbrothers, George Dow, Jr. and wife Linda of Southwest Harbor and Richard Dow and wife Debra of Bar Harbor. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Young; stepfather, George Dow, Sr.; and fiancée, Rachel Wentworth.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm, Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St. Mount Desert with Pastor Bob Maddocks officiating.
