Condolence: Jean and Ted were such good friends with Uncle Ben and Aunt Alice Hinckley. We have many fond memories of gatherings of OP'Meras and Hinckleys in Southwest and in Ellsworth. Jean was truly a lovely rare treasure of a lady. Her family must know that she left the world a better place. She will be missed. Bob and Tina Hinckley

Condolence: Dear Mary , Ellen, Ted, John and Bill,
How often we have all spoken sadly of losing touch with the wonderful O'Meara cousins... a reality to be rectified. As Clare said, we just learned yesterday of your Mom's death and were so sad to hear of it. Yes, your Dad was a dearly loved cousin whom we were always so happy to see. Then we were so delighted when he brought your Mom into the family. I was the youngest, and it was always a special day for me when the O'Meara's were coming to town. Then I do have a wonderful memory of a time when Mary and I went up to Maine from NH and had a wonderful visit with your Mom. Even though I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you all, I do still feel a bond whenever your name is mentioned. Please know that Your Mom is in my prayers, and I too, will have a Mass said for her and all of you. Mary and I are in New Rochelle, so if you're ever coming this way, do let us know.
Blessings on you all. You must have great peace - in the midst of your loss - knowing what a wonderful, generous life your mom lived. I am sure many people will miss her.
With love to all, and the hope we will indeed meet before long,

Beth Dowd

Condolence: Dear Mary, Ellen, Ted, John, and Bill,
I, too, want to express my deep sympathy. Your mother was a lovely person, and your Dad and Mary and Bill were very special to all of us. I will be thinking of you, and Beth and I, too, will arrange to have a Mass offered here at the College of New Rochelle, which Mom, I'm sure would have done. Peace to you and love, Mary Dowd

Condolence: Oh my dear, dear cousins, Mary, Ellen, Ted, John and Bill,
I just today learned of your mother's death, and I am so deeply saddened by that news. Is it a coincidence that YESTERDAY I was thinking that I needed to call her because we had not been in touch for awhile? I have so many treasured memories of her, dating from her engagement to your Dad, my special cousin Ted, when we discovered that not only were we almost twins (7/22 birthdays), but kindred spirits as well. I remember so many visits when you were all kids, living in New Rochelle, and I stayed at your house whenever I went down for an alumnae board meeting at the college (One wonderful memory is cheering Billy on in a sailing race!) And again, in later years, when my husband Ed and I went to Castine every summer for a vacation at Maine Maritime with his USNA classmates and always included a visit with Jean and whoever else was at Hancock Point at the time. I've missed those contacts.
My sisters, also, would like to send condolences. Meanwhile, please accept my heartfelt sympathy in your loss, and my loving prayers. I will be having Masses offered for your mother.

Condolence: I was sorry to hear of your mother's death on Jan. 13th. Even after all these years I remember her with fondness! Driving her yellow Maverick around the Manor (believe she nicknamed it "the wasp"). She was always very engaging w/ me. My thoughts are with you. I certainly knew Mary & Ellen the best, but my regards extend to Ted, John & Bill. Sincerely, Jon Dukehart, Portland Oregon.
