Condolence: Dear Vietti family,
I am very sorry for Mr. Vietti's passing. He was always patient with his children and I will miss seeing him walk his favorite friend "Oli" by my house. I always enjoyed our chats about what the kids were doing. I send my prayers out to Mrs. Vietti and the family in this time of loss.

Condolence: Our sympathy and condolences to Mike's family. We were very fortunate to be able to spend time with Mike last year at our St. Mary Class of 59 reunion. Mike was one of the quiet mischievious ones of our class and he was loved and will be missed by his friends & classmates.

Condolence: This news comes today via Bob Jackson. I'm deeply saddened. This fall I've been thinking fondly about Mike and the meteorology course I took from him in 1986. He was so wonderful a teacher. This fall I've been teaching a meteorology & climate course myself, at a community college in Iowa. Hardly a class has gone by without an image of his big water vapor tank in my mind. Rest in peace, Mike.

Condolence: Dear Kay,
Paul and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Mike's sudden death. We're sorry we can't be with you this weekend but our thoughts will be there. Please extend out sympathy to your family.
I think of the first time we met and what a young and enthusaistic couple you were and so excited to be settling in Maine. You have since gathered a wonderful family together and given so much of yourselves to make that happen. Mike will be missed in many places.
With our sympathy and love,
Polly and Paul

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Dr. Vietti's passing....I worked as a secretary in the Physics Dept in the early 70s and babysat for the family once....Dr. Vietti got me interested in weather....and now I teach my grandchildren the same stuff...and remember him often when looking at extreme weather. I never knew what a "jetstream" was until he told me about it...Prayers in Spirit to the family.....Mary Margaret Colman - Secretary Music Dept Rowan University

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. We worked together at Rainwise in the late 1980's. He always had a smile and always answered my questions no matter how busy he was. It was always a pleasure to see him around town and stop to have a chat. Mike was one of the nicest people I have known.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family of which he was so proud.
