Obituary for Gwendola Mae Ockels

Gwendola Mae Ockels, 62, died September 19, 2009 at a Bangor hospital. She was born September 12, 1947 in Greenbush the daughter of Ivory G. and Martha Elizabeth Bailey.
She was a member of the Rebekah’s of Blue Hill and the Bible study at the First Baptist Church. Gwendola worked as a CNA doing private duty. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved supporting local sporting events.
Gwendola is survived by Donald L. Ockels; son, Matthew Ockels of CO.; daughter, Faye Allen and husband, David of Sedgwick; sisters, Diane Bailey of CT and Lisha Snigier, DE; two grandchildren, Joshua Allen and Samuel Allen. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Julie Ann Ockels; brother, Roger Bailey and a sister, Fern Gagnon.
Friends are invited to call 1:00-2:00PM, Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Blue Hill, where funeral services will be held at 2:00PM with Pastors Stephen and Sheila Heneise officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Blue Hill.
