Obituary for Ella C. Urquhart

Ella Cushman Urquhart, 89, went to be with our Lord, February 14, 2007 at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born in Ellsworth, December 18, 1917 the daughter of Walter H. and Minnie (Tripp) Cushman.
Ella graduated from Ellsworth High School and lived in Ellsworth her entire life. She was a bookkeeper for Ellsworth Falls Lumber for many years and continued when the business was sold to EBS until her retirement in 1980. When EBS built an addition on their building, they named the new space for Ella. She was pleased although embarrassed by the attention. She was on the Advisory Board at Meadowview for many years.
She is survived by her son, Perley A. Urquhart and wife Teddy; their daughters, Stephanie Dumas, Susan Cummings and Stacy Urquhart; five great-grandsons, Stephan K. Urquhart, Theodore D. Dumas, Harland W. Urquhart, Blake E. Stanley and Logan P. Stanley all of whom loved her dearly; nephew, Paul W. Clement and wife Susan; two nieces, Carolyn C. Reckamp and husband Raymond and Pamela Turba; many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Harland L. Urquhart; sisters, Sylvia Cushman Whitcomb and Margaret Cushman Clement. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Calling hours will be held from 5:30-7:00, Friday, February 16 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth where a funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, February 17, 2007. Interment will be in the spring at Woodbine Cemetery and announced by the family. Special thanks to Debra Gray of Ellsworth for her long term love and care of Ella. Also, thanks to Sandra DeWitt of Ellsworth, the caring staff of One Step Homecare and to the ICU staff at MCMH.
